Liar Liar

Hey guys,

People lie for different reasons and no matter what the reason it never makes it right. Mr. Law Enforcement always told me I will not lie to you, I may withhold information but I will not lie to. Do I believe with holding info that may harm me be a way of lying yes i do. But the things that he said he with held were meaningless and would hurt me for no good reason, so why would someone you love want to do that? I can understand his way of thinking but do I think it was right? No! The truth is I always found out, if he was with holding the fact that he ran into a girl that I knew had eyes for him somewhere and they had a conversation to me it wouldn't have been an issue at all the issue was always the fact that he never mentioned it. In cases like that it seems like there is an ulterior motive for not mentioning it. A way for him to be shady and keep his options open?

There was this one time I lied to my parents I told them I was studying after school in reality I was trying out for the cheer leading squad. My parents had told me I could not try out this particular year because my grades had slipped and they wanted them to be better. I lied to them and they found out when someone congratulated my mom on her daughter making Varsity! She had no idea I had even tried out because they said I couldn't do it. Was that right NO! I should have listened to them they said I couldn't do it I couldn't do it but that's the way the world is if people want something bad enough they find ways to make it happen. Should they lie, cheat or steal to get what they want NO WAY! Do some people do that? Yes they do! It does not mean it's okay or right.

Do I think that I may get what's coming to me through my future children? YES I SURE DO! They always say your children are twice as bad as you were. Well I can say I'm glad I haven't had any children yet because the older I get the better I get and maybe the good things I've done will out weigh the bad and my kids wont be THAT bad! lol Back to lying!

Do people lie just to lie? Sure they do! Maybe it's fun for them or something I really don't know but I will say this. Washington lied to me! Yes chatters you read that right! Washington pulled the wool over my eyes and he played the part of "good guy" really good! He made me think he really cared! He said he was leaving on deployment and that's why he didn't want to start anything new! No that's not true he didn't leave he's still here! (More on how I found out on the live show!) I honestly wish the best for Washington there comes a time when you have to stop beating a dead horse and this is the time. He obviously lied because he wanted to date someone(s) else and that's fine. I hope he's found what he's looking for. I also hope he doesn't lie anymore that really ruins relationships because women always find out and once the trust is gone you cannot get it back.

SNOOPING- Leilani's Take on Snooping

Oh Snoopy McSnoopster’s don’t SNOOP!

If you don't know what snooping is, here's the definition...
investigate or look around furtively in an attempt to find out something, esp. information about someone's private affairs.

Nothing good ever comes out of snooping around to find out information about someone online. I have been guilty of it, and that definitely doesn’t make it right. But, since we all do it, here are my lists of WHY WE DO IT, and WHY WE SHOULDN’T.

WHY WE DO IT

1. As humans we are generally curious creatures. We find that there is always something out there to learn about. We want to be as nosey as we can because we feel we have the right to know absolutely everything.

     2. We snoop because we’re bored. Our favorite show isn’t on, work is done for the day, we are sitting there picking our noses, and so we find ourselves snooping around because we think our time is better spent finding out about what others are doing. And if you don’t think you’re guilty of this, think of all of the social media you use. Yes FACEBOOK counts!

     3. We want answers! To any current question that we may have about someone else’s life. Living in a social media culture, it’s easy to access the latest happenings and ongoing’s of anyone. Almost anyone is googleable these days. If you don’t think so… google your name and you’ll find out.

WHY WE SHOULDN’T SNOOP

Curiosity killed the cat! You know that timeless saying? Well it becomes very evident whenever you snoop and find out something you didn’t want to know. So the best thing to do, is avoid putting yourself in an awkward situation.

1.     Avoid putting yourself in an awkward situation. Now you know exactly what you wanted to know and your emotions and assumptions are running wild. So now what? Well, you were snooping, so you can either…
a.     Admit that you were snooping and confront the situation.
b.     Avoid the situation and let the wheels turn in your head until you come up with some crazy perception of what you think you just found out.
2.     When you snoop, you better be able to handle the consequences of what you found out. Most of the time, you’re not ready, so why even go there? Just mind your own business, or go old school, and call that person that you are snooping around about. Make life easier on yourself.
3.     You have better things to do. Trust me, you do! Don’t waste your time snooping around looking for information about what you think you need to know. If you needed to know and you felt it was important, then the best part of you would pick up the phone, text, or message that person to find out what you wanted to know.

Just remember… the next time you snoop, what are you snooping for? Do you want to find something out? Do you want to talk to that person? Do you feel the need to contact that person?

At this point, you’re an adult, so do the adult thing and try not to snoop. Again, we’re all guilty of it, but we know better than that. And just think, if you’re snooping around looking at other people’s business, then someone is most likely returning the favor. And that my dears is just plain freaky!

Cheers!

Snooping! - Michele

Hey Guys!

I hope you enjoyed your Valentine weekend! I seriously enjoyed this 4 day weekend. Of course about a month and a half ago I thought my birthday and Valentine's day would play out differently, I envisioned spending some time with Washington but we all know how that played out. I do have an update with that tune into the show on Thursday for that! Now about Snooping and creeping on social media! As you all know from our previous episode about Social Media: Friend or Foe, you know that I think social media is a foe.

During my relationship with Mr. Law Enforcement we had issues with ladies trying to get at him on social media. People are disgusting! Mr. Law Enforcement would ignore these advances and always ask me "If people see someone happy why can't they just leave them alone?" #TrueStory The truth is people want what they can't have! If they are miserable they want others to suffer as well, it is what it is, sad but true. Mr. Law Enforcement ended up cheating on me and I found things out through social media, every time Mr. Law Enforcement screwed up I found out through social media, I'd see a picture of him out when he said he wasn't going to go out. I'd see he had a new lady friend on one of the social media sites a lady I knew was interested in him romantically. I'd see a flirtatious comment or an inside joke. It was easy to catch Mr. Law Enforcement! We had been linked for so many years and were best friends I could read him like the back of my hand. It didn't really take snooping or stalking to find things out it'd just show up in my news feed or it'd be there on his page when I was leaving a comment. He was a bad liar and from the first night we ever hung out romantically he told me just that!

Now with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, being so popular it's easy for new love interests to find things out about each other. Or even professional contacts to Google you or find you on LinkedIn. While dating Mr. Minnesota I was social media stalking him and I found things out about him that he wasn't ready to share with me and I realized that I didn't think that was fair to him or to anyone else I dated after him. So with anyone I've dated after him I never Googled or looked them up on Social Media until after it was over. I want the men that I date to open up to me in their own time and vice versa I understand at this age everyone will have their own baggage some more than others. My co-workers could not believe that I had not Googled Washington when I finally told them I was dating him, they really encouraged me to but I refused I wanted him to feel safe to open up to me in his own time.

Now after things are on the outs I cannot lie I have done my fair share of FB Stalking and Googling. Aren't you ever curious as to who you were spending time with?

As far as snooping in person I have never done that, I feel if you are in a place where you feel like you need to snoop that's not a relationship you should have. No matter what kind of relationship you may have with this person. If I ever have kids, will I snoop on my children? I hope not, I hope my child(ren) feel like they can openly talk to me about anything.

Leilani's Quick take on the Winter Olympics

Our last show we discussed the winter Olympics being held in Sochi. It was interesting to read about the different athletes competing, the types of winter sports, the problems journalists were experiencing in Sochi.
As a lover of playing sports in general, I can appreciate some good competitive action from time to time. Those that know me know that I typically love playing all sports, but I can’t stand watching sports. The Olympics is probably one of the only sports venues that I enjoy watching. The competitors are so inspirational and motivating, and the way they represent their countries is quite admirable.
My personal favorite winter Olympic sport would have to be the luge and bobsledding events. The high speeds, danger, and motion are all entertaining and I can sit there for hours and just watch the different competitors speed down these ridiculously dangerous looking ice slides. It’s quite entertaining. I have to admit that I am a sucker for figure skating, as it was always a favorite of my grandmother’s. We would sit there for hours and watch these figure skaters dance so gracefully on ice. And those jumps! Crazy! If you’ve ever been ice-skating, it is not easy. LOL! The one time I tried it, I felt like I was going to fall over at every turn.
The competition that always cracks me up is curling. Can you imagine how much practice that takes? It’s already entertaining enough just watching the competitors, but I have a lot of respect for anyone that competes in the winter Olympics. Dealing with ice and snow is no joke!
Finally, after discussing the problems that journalists were experiencing in Sochi, and getting the perspective from our co-host Luis on how it was offensive, I can definitely see how these journalists are creating a bigger problem by laughing at the “dire circumstances” they are experiencing in Sochi. The water and appliance problems should definitely not be mocked, but rather taken into account that these are the problems that the locals deal with. That is sad, when anyone has to drink unclean water.
I don’t have much else to say about the Winter Olympics at this time because I am guilty of having no time to watch them. So for anyone that has had the opportunity, I would love to hear your feedback. Until next time… Cheers!

Hot Topics and Winter Olympics by Michele

Hey Chatters!

Okay so our hot topics last night were things that I want to talk about here as well as of course the winter games (Go Team USA!)

22 year old leads children into traffic

First of all I don't care if you are generation X, Generation Y, Generation XY whatever you are. At the age of 18 in the US you are considered an adult. A 22 year old woman was given the responsibility of babysitting her friends young children both under the age of 5. One child under 5 to babysit is enough but these parents trusted her to watch their children. For her to even have them out of the house at 11 at night on a week night is heinous! Children need structure and a child under the age of 5 should be in bed at that time of the night. Then she took it a step further and was very intoxicated while out and about with these children in the middle of the night. Not only did she do that but she led them out into the street into oncoming traffic where the children were hit by an SUV. Luckily the children were okay but who does that? That is not okay and if I were a parent of those children that would not be a friend of mine any longer. I don't tolerate stupidity!

Blackfish

If you guys have not watched this documentary do so tonight! It's really good and I think it's true! These animals are wild animals and they snap, they've killed trainers, they are dangerous! Very beautiful and very smart but if you keep something caged up and on a small amount of food they can snap! Just look at how moody people can be can you imagine a thousand pound whale on a bad day? If you guys believe Sea World please let us know why or if you don't believe Blackfish tell us why you don't. I'd personally love to know your feedback!

Amanda Knox

Have you guys followed this trial? This trial has been going on for what I believe is like 5 years, That's a long time. She has spent some time in an Italian jail I think she spent a year in jail before her lawyers got the first guilty verdict overturned. I don't remember everything that happened but after that was overturned she was returned to the US, I believe she is currently in Washington. Italy tried her again for the murder of her roommate Miranda Kercher. Her and her boyfriend at the time have no been found guilty of murder and Italian authorities captured Amanda's ex at the boarder. Amanda stated that she will not return to Italy and I do not believe that the US will send her back. Do I believe she is guilty I hope not do I think she may know some information probably not because I feel like if she did know something and she did not have any part of it. I'm sure she would have told the Italian authorities everything she knew. Her and her ex boyfriend have no ties now so if he did it I'm sure she would have ratted him out and vice versa. Have they blamed each other? I'll have to research this and let you guys know! If you guys know let us know!

2014 Winter Olympics

To be honest I couldn't care less about the Olympics, I'm more of a summer games type of person! I love the summer games so much I'd love to travel and watch an event! #bucketlist But the winter games I like to watch Ice Skating and that's pretty much it. Sometimes I watch a different game here and there but I don't make sure I watch anything else except Ice Skating. Do I think that Shaun White should compete in both of the events that he planned to I'm torn. I do understand that as an Olympian you are someone who others look up to and that's a lot of responsibility that maybe you didn't sign up for when you started out in your craft. But the second you qualify for the Olympics you know that's what you're signing up for. He is letting down the US by withdrawing from one event but at the same time he does need to do what's best for him. It wouldn't be smart to compete in one event and get extremely hurt and not be able to compete in his "main" event. It is up the children's parent's to explain to them why he withdrew from the event and talk to them about it. See where they stand maybe the child will say 'I'd compete anyway' just talk to your children and see what they think about the situation. Future generations are the ones that really matter cuz they are the future of this country!

Michele's Dating Dilemma- Leilani's POV

Hey Chatters,

So I've finally found the time to post in regards to Michele's dating dilemma. I was definitely on my friend's side, as most girls are, so it was difficult for me to see how difficult Washington was being in this entire situation. Just to clarify, I was completely on Washington's side. I liked the guy, and was hoping that Michele and him would make it work. Boy, was I wrong!

Personally, I think that Washington was interested in dating Michele, but I definitely think that towards the end he was taking advantage of this situation. In my opinion, I think it's weak of a man to use excuses when he's not interested in a girl, instead of just "manning" up and saying that he's just not into a woman anymore.

I am happy though that this all came out in the beginning, and Michele didn't waste her time on someone who wasn't worth her time. Obviously I had other opinions about the situation, but if you want to hear those, tune in to our last show.

Cheers!
